How are you checking whether AI tools can actually find and understand your business website?

Question

I have been thinking about this more over the few weeks.

Most of us spend time making our websites easier for Google to crawl. We also spend time improving Search Engine Optimization and writing blog posts.. I am starting to wonder if we are entering a different stage where it is also important to know how Artificial Intelligence assistants interpret our websites.

When someone asks Artificial Intelligence assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another Artificial Intelligence for recommendations or explanations or businesses in a niche they do not necessarily return search results. That made me curious about whether my website's actually visible and understandable to Artificial Intelligence systems in the first place.

I have searched around. There seem to be a lot of different opinions on what actually matters for Artificial Intelligence assistants. Some people say structured data is enough for Artificial Intelligence assistants others talk about llms.txt files while others focus on content quality and authority for Artificial Intelligence assistants.

So I am curious:

Are you actively checking your websites Artificial Intelligence visibility. Are you just focusing on traditional Search Engine Optimization?

Have you found any tools that give genuinely useful insights, about Artificial Intelligence assistants instead of just a score?

Have you made any changes specifically to improve how Artificial Intelligence assistants understand your website?

I would love to hear what other business owners are doing because this feels like something that is going to become more important over the next year for Artificial Intelligence assistants and our websites.
