Microphone picks all sounds
Hello guys! First of all thanks for taking the time to read this.
I realize now that trying to create youtube videos is much more complicated than I originaly thought.
I have some footage of a video game that I'm editing on DaVinci Resolve. While doing so I want to do a voice-over explaining some points to the viewers. However no matter how I set the microphones (I've tested with two) air noise from my nose will pick up, a very small finger flick will be recorded, same goes for mouse clicks and keyboard clacks.
I've been trying to set up many settings in the Dynamics section of my audio track with the assistance of Gemini and just trial and error and couldn't really find a sweet spot where at least a good part of ambient noises are deleted. Also added noise reduction. tried various Gate settings as well, which I didn't really like as it was chopping my voice often even with fine tuning.
I have a senheiser drop pc38x and a very old BlueMic Yeti (old enough that it wasn't logitech). I'm using the pc38x has it's simpler in many ways and the microphone quality is quite good. I used the yeti to test but honestly it was worst.
The microphone arm is properly positionned, a bit to the exterior of my chin (3 fingers away) so either my mouth or nose shouldn't be pushing air directly in it, yet it is still captured.
I'm quite new, but I want to do things right. Do you have any suggestions in how I can make this better? Should I buy a foam to cover my microphone? Is there any good content creator that's a reference in the domain?
Anyway I'm all ears whatever you have to write and big thanks for your time. I'll gladly take the help
