Tell me about your favourite indie games with social themes to mention in my lecure
Hello everyone!
As the title says, I'm putting together a one-hour presentation about indie game development. The audience will be a small group of non-gamers (mostly students aged 18–30), and the goal is to show them what indie games can achieve in terms of design, storytelling, and mechanics and to overall broaden their horizons.
The interesting part is that, after the presentation, they'll spend about a year participating in the design of a video game. The programming and production will be handled by experienced developers from a small indie studio in my country.
I'd like to showcase games that are realistically within the scope of what this studio could create. Think titles like *Despelote*, *Chants of Sennaar*, or *Neva* (picture these as basically the limit), not AAA productions or E33.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions for games that would be inspiring for these game designers. I'm mainly looking for games that demonstrate clever design, creative mechanics, or unique ways of telling a story while maintaining a fairly minimalistic look.
Throw anything at me, any genre, it doesn't neccesarily need to be a socially themed.
Thanks so much!
