Why is it that everyone who tries to turn a boat off turns the key the wrong way.

It never fails, every time someone goes to turn my boat off, they turn the key and engage my start into my flywheel.

Everyone I know is old enough to have driven a car with a normal key, just that brutal sound of a starter slamming into a flywheel :(

I am installing a push to start button tomorrow, I am just baffled as to why I have to.
