Shih tzu squinting left eye

I am taking her to the vet in three hours but of course I am all worried at the moment. My shih tzu is squinting her left eye and i see a little bit of white discharge. She is still eating but mostly seems to want to sleep.. doesn’t seem quite herself. This has been happening since yesterday. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
