Need help deciding on what car to buy

As the title says, I’m in the market for a new car and I have no idea where to start.

As background, I have 1 kid who is currently in a rear facing car seat. I want enough room in the truck for a stroller day to day and then enough room to travel with a stroller and a couple of suitcases.

I travel a decent amount for work so also looking for something fuel efficient.

I know I want an SUV and think I only want a 5 seater but open to 3 rows as well. My biggest issue with 5 seaters is I don’t think any have over head vents in the back? I live in the South so I am concerned about getting good air flow for my baby.

Hyundai Tucson

I’ve driven a Honda my whole life and am partial, but their SUVs tend to run a bit more expensive (though I know why). I also don’t think I love the CRV but open to hearing pros and cons.

My dream car is a Volvo Xc 60, but I am unwilling to pay the price for a new one. Is a used XC60 with low mileage better than a new Kia or Hyundai?

Please give me any advice regarding these cars, any cars I might be overlooking that could fit my needs, and generally how to go about buying a car. I’ve never bought a new car so want to do it right and hopefully get a nice deal. Budget is ideally no more than $35K.
