What do I need to do to start playing poe2?

I've been a long time poe1 player and ive quit playing last year (for personal reasons) when my motherboard died. The pc was from 2016 or so (it was when Breach League released), I couldnt run poe2 too well on my gt1070 which wasn't surprising.

But now that I'm looking to maybe getting back to playing, its going to have a very steep cost. I'll mainly be playing poe2, the prices are up 30% if not more. Besides that I'll see myself playing games from Steam. But spending 2,5k for a rig just is a bit.. too much? I've been looking at the Steam machine but I'm unsure how that runs poe2, not counting for the fact the experiences with it aren't all great. Maybe it will run fine now but what about in 2 to 5 years? Then id rather invest in something durable. I honestly dont mind playing with a controller either, playing d2r with one and I'm surprised by how comfy it is.

What are your ideas about this? And wont we see a drop in poe2 players in general because of these high prices?

Tdlr: I want to play poe2 but I'm looking for the most affordable and durable way to do so.

I'm looking to do this at the end of the year/start next year in case that matters
