recommendations for a Dresden lawyer for Mietrecht
Hi everyone,
This might be a bit of a stretch to ask here, but we figured it was worth a shot.
Quick background: our former landlords terminated our lease claiming Eigenbedarf (personal use), and the apartment ended up on Airbnb soon after. We’re pursuing a claim related to this, and there’s an upcoming hearing at the Amtsgericht Dresden where a witness will be questioned.
The problem: the lawyer we’ve been working with until now is based in another city, our legal insurance won’t cover a local court appearance, and the Mieterverein doesn’t represent members in court. So we’ve kind of run out of the usual options.
We’d rather not show up on the day without a lawyer, but we also don’t want to give up if there’s an option we haven’t thought of. We’re mainly hoping someone can point us in the right direction, ideally a recommendation for a local lawyer who could take over just this one hearing. Experience with tenancy law and questionable Eigenbedarf cases would be ideal. There are some useful inconsistencies in the other side’s account to work with.
We know it’s a modest case and probably not the usual thing people post here, so apologies if this is the wrong place. For us it’s mostly about the principle. Happy to pay a fair fee, of course.
If anyone has a name to recommend or advice on where else to look, we’d be really grateful. Thanks for reading!
