Is this the right community to seek advice for navigating uninsured top surgery?

Like the title says, looking for advice on finding an affordable route for my partner (who doesn’t use Reddit) for top surgery. He’s starting the process of talking to local surgeons and financial aid with the help of his PCP, and I want to help look for any and all options.

Details: US/Ohio-based, early 30’s trans male, uninsured & potential insurance coverage does not cover gender-affirming care. He’s been on testosterone for over a decade.

We’re considering medical tourism to another country, if anyone has some insight into that!
