Welcome to r/TheModestCommunity β introduce yourself! π
Hi everyone, and welcome!
I started this community because I wanted a space where modest fashion could just... be talked about. Not as a niche, not as a trend, but as something people actually live in every day β whether that's a kurung, an abaya, a co-ord set, or just knowing how to layer well.
A bit about me: I work on modest fashion content and design (some of you may have seen pieces like the Mihran Kurung floating around), and honestly this community isn't about that β it's about all of us figuring out modest style together. Shopping finds, outfit ideas, fabric questions, prayer-friendly outfits, travel and Umrah wear, Eid looks β all of it belongs here.
A few ground rules to start us off:
- Be kind β modest fashion looks different for everyone, and that's the whole point
- Self-promo is fine occasionally, but this isn't meant to be a storefront
- Questions are always welcome, even "silly" ones β that's how we all learn
To kick things off β drop a comment below:
- What does "modest fashion" mean to you?
- What's one piece in your wardrobe you can't live without?
- What do you want to see more of in this community?
Excited to build this with you all. Let's go π
