I built a free web companion app to play Co-op/PVE Horde with your commander decks!
I wanted to share a passion project I’ve been working on for the casual and Commander community.
If you're ever stuck with only 2 or 3 players for game night, or just want a break from standard pods, you might know about the Horde Magic format ( its a PvE/Co-op format where players team up against an automated / auto piloted deck).
Running a physical Horde deck can sometimes be clunky with all the math, token spawning, and triggers. To fix this, I built a free visual companion app to automate the tedious parts so you can just jump in and playing existing decks. Or if you dare, try to build your own horde deck.
I run some home-made additionnal rules from the classic Horde Format (that has a lot of rules variants already). Most notable addition is the Boss / rewards mechanic that were inspired by RPG games.
Try it here : https://mtg-horde-plus.org/
Key Features:
- Semi-Automated Horde Turns: It handles drawing, attacking, and damage tracking for the Horde and players.
- Built-in Keyword Triggers: Automatically processes mechanics like Decayed, Lifelink, and Vigilance for Horde creatures.
- Custom Boss cards: Includes a custom ruleset where Boss cards drop rewards/loot for the players when defeated. (those are planeswalker with simplified trigger, they are not attacking and provides huge boost for the Horde)
- Ready-to-Play Decks: Comes with half a dozen pre-configured "classic" decks (including a fully tailored Zombie deck, The Grave Tide).
- Deck Builder / Scryfall Importer: You can easily paste any decklist to create and save your own custom Horde decks locally.
- Custom cards: You can also import your own custom cards and setup their P/T, keywords and images.
- Deck export / import: share your creations (currently only handle local file import/export) with your friends as JSON.
- tutorial / tour guide: Every page has a quick overlay guide to show you what the buttons do.
What it is NOT:
- This is not an MTG Arena replacement. There is no full logic engine. It’s a visual "sandbox" companion (think Moxfield or Archidekt, but with a bit more automation) to help you manage the board state. You still pilot your real/digital decks and resolve your own triggers!
It is 100% free and has no ads. I just wanted to make something cool for the community.
Looking for Feedback!
This is a solo project of a non-dev guy, I rely a lot of vibe coding but I try to slowly learn how the code reacts. And I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts, bug reports, or feature suggestions.

Hope this brings some fun to your next game night! Let me know what you think.
