I need opinions

I am reheating (again for the fifth time and third time in two weeks) but I need help with something. At the ASG during Rookie season, after Ilya gives Shane his room number, you see Scott looking at Shane.

In the books I am pretty sure he doesn’t suspect then, but in the show, the look Scott is giving Shane makes it seem like he suspects. What do you all think? And do you think if that is how it is supposed to be taken, it will be used in season 2 in a way?
