First time visiting Mangystau and what should I see?

Hi everyone!

I'm planning a trip to the Mangystau Region in Kazakhstan and would love some advice from people who have been there. I've seen photos of the landscapes, and they almost look like the surface of Mars. Is it really that impressive in person? So far, Bozzhyra is at the top of my bucketlist, but what other places would you recommend for a foreign tourist? Are there any hidden gems, canyons, rock formations, mosques, or viewpoints that are worth visiting?

I'm also interested in spending some time by the Caspian Sea. I heard there's a beach festival in Aktau during the summer. Is it mainly for locals, or would a foreign visitor feel welcome there?

Finally, what should I expect in terms of infrastructure? I've heard that roads, accommodations, and services can be quite limited outside Aktau. Is that true, and is there anything I should prepare for before visiting?
