my dad's two brothers decided the best way to divide the family property was to declare my dad dead on official papers.
Tiny problem. The man they declared dead was sitting at home very much alive.
My dad has three brothers. At first, the elder and younger brother teamed up to remove my dad from the picture.

The same uncle who helped declare him dead started collecting my dad's identity proofs just to prove to the authorities that Actually he's alive.
Imagine getting killed and revived in the same family meeting because someone did the math wrong.
Meanwhile, my mom was absolutely furious that my dad was still talking to the same brother who had literally signed papers saying he was dead
She sent my dad paragraphs explaining why he should cut contact.
