Do guys lose interest when girls put efforts into conversations?

Been using hinge for 1 week or so. I have curated prompts well that invite comments. I prefer to comment on something in their profile rather than hey-ing or that's nice-ing. I ask open ended questions and show interest in profiles cause I am genuinely interested in meeting someone. I have two theories regarding it-

1. Guys lose interest when they see a girl taking interest probably because they are not used to it 🧐

2. I am matching with people who say they want long term but are actually looking for easy and casual.

Either way, I am willing to change my approach towards it. Suggestions?
