New player... anyone want to group up?

Finding a group in the lobby drives me nuts. People will group up just to leave in the last second or as soon as the game actually starts. Or join and fill up the lobby to just.... stand there. I'm a new player but I really want to play long games and it's impossible to find a good group :(
