F23 trying to to navigate modern dating while living alone and trying to figure out how to build meaning full relations
Guys, I used to like this guy(M26), and I told him how I felt and that I’d like to date him. He said he wasn’t interested in me, and that the situation he was in didn’t allow for a relationship.
After that, I waited a few weeks for my feelings to settle down, then I downloaded Hinge (I’m 23F, by the way). I matched with a few guys and went on a date with one of them. On our second date, we ended up at his place, made out, and I stayed the night. Nothing else happened.
The thing is, I don’t even like him(M23) that much, and I want to keep meeting other people and see what’s out there. But I’ve always been the type of person who’s loyal to one person at a time. Even in my last situationship, I stayed committed to it for six months before accepting it wasn’t going anywhere.
Seeing multiple people at once feels like I’m going against my own values. I’m also worried that I’ll keep ending up spending the night at people’s places because I get caught up in the moment. Now I feel like I don’t even recognize myself. This just doesn’t feel like me.
I live alone and don’t have a huge circle of friends, so I wonder if I’m trying to fill that loneliness by making out with people. I just feel guilty and confused. At the same time, I don’t know how I’m supposed to find my forever person if I don’t put myself out there.
What should I do? And idek if the guy I’m seeing rn is seeing someone else, hate this modern dating scene
