Day 1 - Game Development

I tried creating a game today on Unity. I have no idea what I'm doing. I spent an hour trying to create a visible floor, I was defeated. AI was no help, does anybody know any good YouTube channels I can checkout for tutorials? I am trying to commit an hour per day but so far I have achieved nothing.
