2016 Jeep 2.4l it’s not the shit cable . The armature lever is super stiff, and I can’t shift from park through the gears either by the inside gear shifter nor by hand via shift lever on top of the transmission with the cable disconnected, I can tap it through the gears with a tool. But not otherwise. My question is . Where is the resistance coming from? I assume r. U . S T is the culprit obviously. But where would that be? Just under the lever ? Inside the part the shaft connects too, or inside the transmission? And will any amount of lubricant around the armature fix the issue Other details are : the Jeep ran and drove fine, no slipping or issues driving. The shifter inside the Jeep gradually got harder to shift for the driver/owner over the course of a month or so. After tapping lever manually on top of transmission back and forth couple times. There is less resistance. And lastly I can’t hear any clicking or anything coming from transmission like u normally would when shifting through the gears via armature , but also my tapping may may prevent me hearing it. And no I have not confirmed the Jeep is actually in gear even though the armature is moving due to having to unhook the battery to move the lever.
