As the title says I have a lot of family issues, I’m 32 yo single mom. My dad died when I was 17 and shortly after my mom kicked me out of the house. I ended up pregnant at 19 with a really abusive guy. Left him when my baby was 8 months old and I have been on my own until 2 years ago I was with a new guy, we were together those 2 years. I ended up pregnant, which resulted in miscarriage and I left the relationship. I missed out on family life all my young adulthood, I last saw my siblings when they were 5 & 6 and then 10 years went by and I got to see them again when my twin sisters celebrated their 16th birthday. After my mom cut me off I became close with my godmother, I felt like I still had family with her and then one time her husband was being abusive and I asked him to stop. We never saw or spoke to each other after that. I have over the last 12 years developed 3-4 “families” through friends etc and truly felt blessed, like maybe I don’t get to have the traditional family unit but I created my own. Each of those relationships diminished to nothing. They all basically drop me, usually because they start dating men. I felt like my ex was truly my person and we could have a family together, but again I was so wrong about that. I understand I have the loaded 8H but I’m wondering wtf is up with my life. I actually would do anything for a family that is authentic and long lasting. My daughter and I ofc are family but I want to experience a mother figure, having extended members etc. I’m beginning to feel as though I’m just not meant for family life and my 4H is empty so maybe it’s just my path to be on my own and give to others what I would love to receive? I want more kids but I feel unsure if that’s the right choice for me as it was so difficult and I have only had 2 boyfriends and it feels like I chose wrong lol I’m quite afraid to choose the wrong partner to have children with. I would appreciate any feedback because I am a little exhausted with life and would like more clarity. thank you
