NIPT High DS risk, will amnio just confirm the same?

Hi all. UK based here, and feeling devastated. Looking for advice on next steps mostly. Had NT and combined bloods on 3rd July. I'm an older mum, 40. MC last year. Had 2 episodes of loss this pregnancy so docs put me on progesterone. Am now wondering if my body was trying to get rid of the pregnancy and the progesterone stopped a natural MC, idk.

NT 2.3, but bloods indicated 1:66 for DS, and low PAPP-A.

Was invited into hospital for NIPT last week. They phoned with my results today. Struggling to understand them. Nurse on phone said 95% positive for DS but written results read 99% I think. Anyway, I'm clearly the unlucky 1% and am beyond heartbroken. Nurse said I have to have Amnio now to confirm DS. Is there any way NIPT could be wrong? Or do I need to prepare myself for DS confirmed by the Amnio? Tysm all in advance.
