No passion for careers
Ever since middle school I was so sure I wanted to be a graphic designer. I would do things here and there where I could, participate in design competitions at school when I was younger, loved it.
Then I started this hobby where I was doing a lot of graphic design day in and day out, and found out I kind of hated it. I hated logo design and I couldn't stand designing packaging or things like that. That's when I realised I was more in it for the psychology of design and how we use design to help others navigate things. So I stuck with it.
I just finished my first year of university taking a design and media degree. A degree where I'm doing a little bit of everything, a bit of coding, graphic, packaging, even 3D modelling. And I'm enjoying it.... Moderately. I enjoy it because I feel like I'm good at it, but I constantly feel like I have no passion for it. I'm not trying to do well, I'm just trying to fulfill the criteria.
I keep having this inkling that I wanna do something else, marketing, being a teacher, be a nail tech. I know you can change your career, but how many times is too many times? It's not like a hobby...
Anyways, I'm just rambling but has anyone else felt this constant desire to change your career and have no firm passion or goal in sight? Should I change to becoming a teacher? It's been something I always considered a "backup" Incase design didn't work out, but I can't stop thinking about it.
