Help for Administering Fluids to Senior Cat
My wife and I have a senior cat who has recently been diagnosed with early stage kidney disease, and will now need subcutaneous fluids administered twice a week. This is a process that definitely needs both of us to complete successfully.
Unfortunately, I have to be out of town for several months for work, and we’re very worried about getting our beloved cat the care she needs during this time. Does anyone here have experience hiring a vet tech, service, or pet sitter that can help my wife give our cat her fluids?
I tried asking our vet’s techs, but they never seem to actually get back in touch with us about helping. We can’t take our cat into the vet every time she needs this done, since she’s a very anxious girl and my wife isn’t able to be home during normal vet hours. We’re a bit desperate, and happy to pay for quality care. Any suggestions welcome!
