Multiple final rounds, no offer. Looking for honest career advice.

General

I'm honestly feeling stuck and wanted to hear from people who have been through a similar phase.

I'm an MBA (Finance) graduate with internships and xp in investment research and analytics, have built equity research/valuation projects, cleared NISM certifications, and I'm currently preparing for CFA Level I. I've been applying consistently for roles in equity research, credit analysis, FP&A, risk, and related finance domains.

The frustrating part is that I've reached multiple final rounds over the last few months, but haven't converted an offer. In some cases, hiring was frozen. In one case, the recruiter told me my profile was better suited for finance than operations, but nothing came of it. Meanwhile, I keep hearing that even candidates from top institutes are struggling because of the current hiring market.

Every day I apply, network, tailor my resume, and prepare, but it's becoming difficult to judge whether the issue is the market, my profile, or simply bad timing.

Has anyone here gone through something similar? How long did it take before things finally worked out? Also, if you're in hiring or finance, is the market genuinely this slow right now, or should I be changing my approach?

I'd really appreciate honest advice.
