This is my first time using druidic magic and I'm really enjoying it so far, the idea came to me while walking in the woods and appreciating the beautiful green shade of the trees in the late spring.

The material:

Japanese knotweed stalks cut below each segment node and with a small drainage hole poked in each segment node for drainage to make biodegradeable soil vessles

Cord, I wound it myself in the fall out of dried grasses before leaving it in a hole in a living tree trunk over winter to gain strength and dry

Sticks, picked up off the forest floor and added between and around knotweed stalks for structure and to protect the budding seedlings from harm

Soil, collected from beneath the raised root ball of a recently fallen tree

Maple seeds from the native Silver Maple, collected from the ground in places they would never get the chance to grow

The intent:

To collect little bits of my world with minimal harm to mother nature and breathe new life into them

To bring more intentionality and purpose to my daily routine, by giving my time to water them every morning

Through the strength and beauty of these trees to protect myself, my happiness, my home and my loved ones

To invest effort in my future, to look forward to the day I can either make these trees into little bonsai or the day I have land and space to plant them and allow them to grow to their full potential

How it's going:

Though life sometimes gets in the way, I share water from my water bottle with my beautiful green children almost every day, and they have not yet been wanting for more at the hand of my forgetfullness; an accomplishment I'm quite proud of as I often forget to take care of even myself

Two out of 12 seeds planted were claimed by death. Something not mourned as this is simply a part of life

The growth you see is all the work of this spring/summer, it is true what they say that silver maples are quite virile, I think this will be a strong spell

I am such an ephemeral being and healing is non linear so it is hard to say what progress has been made but I feel that it has aided me on my journey so far

Much love to any witches that read all of that, y'all are amazing
