Playing the original Mass Effect trilogy on speedrun, doing only the main missions and the essential side quests is the only way to fly.

DISCUSSION

Don't get me wrong, I've done at least six play throughs. Going for all the side shit, mining of planets etc. But when it comes down to things, it makes no sense. Shepard is on a mission to save the freaking galaxy. Why would he/she care about some drug rings, or an asari sex advisor. It makes no sense. On top of that if you go completionism, you keep on meeting the same people over and over in the games. Which is so unrealistic in this universe. Like what are the freaking chances of that? One in a trillion maybe?

The only right way to play this trilogy is to just burst through the main story and forget most of the side shit. That's when you truly feel like a Shepard trying to save the galaxy.
