Has anyone ever tracked their phone successfully?

I lost two phones on Saturday. I didn't report the theft at the time, but today I got a notification from Find My Device showing that one of them is in Buruburu.

I'm not sure if it's worth trying to track it down. I don't want to spend money involving the police if there's little chance of recovering it. However, the second phone contains some important data, so I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth pursuing.
