Ideal mouse set up for two mice

I work at Petco, and we had two mice surrendered to us (they left them in a cage outside our store :(they are in our recovery room rn), since they were surrendered, they’re free, I was thinking of getting them, but I want to do things right and have an actually good set up and not a shitty one, I’ve had a hamster before, do mice burrow? Is their diet similar to a hamsters? I’m doing some research on my own time but the internet is very under educated on small rodent habitats so I wanted to ask people who ACTUALLY HAVE MICE- what would be best
