I want to know your thoughts, do you like playing more actual or old games?

I think this is worth a good discussion.

New games are technically better made - better graphics, voice acting, storytelling, and production values. But when I go back to old games, something feels different.
I can play them for hours and completely lose track of time. I still remember playing RuneScape as a kid and literally only stopping to sleep. That level of “I can’t put it down” feeling is rare for me with most modern games.

Is it nostalgia, simpler design, better gameplay loops, or something else?

What do you think? Do you prefer newer games or older ones for pure long-session fun? Which old games still hook you the hardest?
