Thought I’d share this because I think it’s genuinely a cool idea.

It’s called YOLD Connect, and the concept is surprisingly simple: it matches younger people with experienced adults and retirees based on interests, career goals and life experience.

So if you’re looking for career advice, someone who’s been through a similar path, or just want to learn from people with decades of experience, you can get matched with a mentor for free.

On the other hand, if you’re further along in your career and enjoy helping others, you can also sign up as a mentor.

What I like is that it isn’t one of those networking platforms where everyone is trying to sell something or collect LinkedIn connections. It’s much more focused on genuine conversations and knowledge sharing.

Apparently they use a matching system based on interests and personalities rather than just industry, and they also organize community events for people who want to meet offline.

Has anyone here tried it? Or would you use something like this? Curious what people think

It's free for everyone provided by Goethe university, so seems legit
