The Fragile House of Valentina
I left 2 comments on Valentina's youtube video and she hid them. First one- Unpopular opinion...the constant laughing at nothing is maniacal. I do enjoy looking at what you have purchased but everything isn't amazing, gorgeous, the absolute best, the most etc. All of the superlatives are too much and disingenuous. This language makes you sound like an inauthentic salesperson. It's just too much. One of her viewers got upset I said that and called me negative etc. Valentina "Liked" her post of course. So then I responded to Valentina with this- Replying only to praise is a classic cop-out. It’s not 'hating' to point out that overused superlatives make a channel feel like an inauthentic infomercial. The irony is that you do listen to audience pushback. Look at how fast you abandoned the blue-and-wicker phase/Nancy Meyers to run back to your classic modern neutrals after the audience didn't care for it. You pivoted your entire aesthetic based on the market feedback you pretend to ignore. Siloing yourself in an echo chamber of toxic positivity isn't conducive to growth. A business only survives when it listens to its market, not just its yes-men.
What a fragile ego she has. It is disappointing to see a public forum that can only survive in an echo chamber of total praise. Silencing viewers who offer an otherwise opinion doesn't protect her digital platform; it just highlights a lack of transparency. True professional growth happens when a creator can engage with their audience honestly, rather than curating a fragile illusion where only praise is welcome. So weak. So pathetic. Somethings not right.
