Would you give feedback to a recruiter’s manager after a poor candidate experience?

Would you give feedback to a recruiter’s manager about your experience with the recruiter handling your application?

I’m curious how others would handle this.
I had an application where the recruiter reached out on a Monday to ask for my availability for an interview scheduled on Friday. I replied almost immediately to confirm that I was available.

After that, I never heard back.

To make sure I didn’t miss the interview, I followed up on Monday evening, then again on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and finally on Friday before the scheduled interview, asking for the interview link. Despite all of those follow-ups, I never received a response, the interview link, or even an update on whether the interview was still pushing through.

I understand that schedules change and that recruitment priorities can shift. If my application was no longer moving forward, I would have completely understood. What I found difficult was the complete lack of communication after an interview had already been scheduled.

In the end, I sent a professional email to the recruiter’s manager (who was copied on the original email thread) to share my experience. I wasn’t asking them to reconsider my application or to complain about not getting the role. My intention was simply to provide feedback about the candidate experience, as I believe applicants deserve timely communication, especially when an interview has already been scheduled.

Would you have done the same, or would you have just moved on?
