What is with connecting to tournaments in this game?

For two seasons now one or both of the following happens: My teammates never join the lobby, or it times out my connection multiple times.

This isn’t a rare occurrence. I’ve played so many 2v3 or even 1v3 tournaments.

It also very frequently won’t let me connect. I usually get there after multiple attempts and relogs, but it is so annoying.
