Is Refund Possible?

I think that I may have been scammed by a franchise of Anytime Fitness and I believe that they are not going to do anything about it.

For context, I cancelled my membership last Jan as I am going overseas but they didn’t file the cancellation and was charging me all the way until July. I raised this concern but they’re looking for a proof of the document that they are supposed to be safe keeping. Now, they have cancelled my membership but I want my refund.

Any help / tips / suggestions?
