What would you say are the core "gameplays" of Minecraft ?
I'm trying to make a homebrew D&D campaign adapted from Minecraft. I'm trying to create roles (you know, the typical barbarians, bards, artificers...), and basing them on core gameplay loops of the game that have become their own subcommunities.
So far I've come up with :
- Warrior (axe-centric, high damage combat)
- Knight (sword-centric, armored combat, more for tanking)
- Hunter (bow-centric, ranged combat)
- Engineer (redstone)
- Brewer (potions, for buffs and debuffs)
- Magician (allay summonning and other magic spells)
- Architect (less effective in active combat but better for improvised shelter and defense for the night)
- Survivalist (good at terrain traversal, exploration, general reconaissance and keeping track of landmarks, but maybe too similar to the Hunter, I might just fuse these two)
- Griefer (explosion and destruction)
- Tamer (can befriend animals and teach them useful tricks)
Can you think of anything else ? Or is that good enough already ?
