Do people actually like running errands with others?

This is something that has plagued me for years. When I go to run errands, people frequently ask if I "want company" or my mom would always try to get me to take my younger sister with me as if that made the task more pleasant. I LOVE running errands alone. When people ask "if I want company" it always makes me feel like shit because that person for some reason SEEMS like they feel they are offering to do me a favor or something, when in reality, to me, they are trying to do something THEY enjoy, not helping me in any way. In fact it makes the errands far worse if they join me. Do people ask this because they actually think it makes running errands better??? Or is this just a way people use to try to get out of the house and disguise it as doing a favor and we all hate it and just say yes to be nice because that is what it is for me.
