Young aspiring producer looking for original screenplays and emerging talent
Hi everyone,
I’m a young guy who recently came into a substantial amount of money. It is not an unlimited Hollywood budget by any means, but it is enough to realistically finance a well-planned independent film, depending on the genre, scale, locations, and production requirements.
One of my biggest dreams has always been to work in the film industry. After seeing projects such as Obsession and The Backrooms, and watching how talented filmmakers and writers have built audiences online, I have become increasingly convinced that there is an enormous amount of undiscovered talent on the internet.
I have recently started what I am currently calling a small “studio,” although I want to be transparent that it is still at a very early stage. Right now, I am interested in finding talented writers, filmmakers, and potentially a project worth developing and producing.
The kind of project I would be most excited to find is a comedy inspired by films from the 2000s and early 2010s: dark humour, inappropriate jokes, flawed characters, no group being completely protected from ridicule, and the general feeling that the filmmakers were not afraid of offending someone. That said, I am also very open to horror, drama, thrillers, or any genuinely strong and original idea.
The available budget would depend heavily on the style of the film. A contained horror film, for example, could receive a very different budget from a comedy requiring numerous locations or a larger cast. I am not claiming that I can finance an enormous studio production, but I believe I could provide a reasonable independent-film budget for the right project.
I know that finding a great film through a subreddit is a long shot. However, if you have written something that you genuinely believe could become a strong film, I would be interested in hearing from you.
Please send a brief introduction, a synopsis, and either the screenplay or whatever developed material you currently have to:

Please only send material that you own and have the right to submit. I cannot promise that every submission will receive detailed feedback or that any project will be selected, but I am genuinely interested in discovering original work and seeing what might come from this.
Thank you.
