Theory: Koby is about to build his own "Straw Hat Crew" in the Marines (featuring Tajio from Ep. 133!)

Discussion

I’ve been thinking about Koby’s trajectory in the Final Saga, especially now that Garp is MIA after Hachinosu. The World Government loves a good cover-up (just look at Smoker getting credit for Arabasta). Realistically, Marine HQ will likely cover up Garp's loss by promoting Koby to a higher rank (Rear Admiral) branding him as the ultimate "Hero who saved the future generations of the Marines" to keep up public morale.

With this major status boost, what if Koby essentially goes out on a recruitment drive?

Instead of building a standard, rigid military unit, Koby would recruit people who share his vision of compassionate justice. It creates a perfect parallel to Luffy's journey: Koby building his own "crew" of dreamers within the Marines.

Here is how the dynamic mirrors the Straw Hats perfectly:

The Captain: Koby, mirroring Luffy. He isn't looking for mindless subordinates to rule over; he wants genuine comrades with big dreams.

The First Mate: Helmeppo, mirroring Zoro. He was the first to join Koby, uses dual blades (kukris), and acts as the grounding, protective right-hand man.

The Inspired Cook: Tajio! Remember the apprentice chef boy from the Post-Arabasta filler (Episode 133) who Sanji secretly taught how to make Marine Curry?

Imagine Koby’s crew running into Tajio, who now has a deep connection to the Straw Hats' legacy. Tajio aspires to be the "Sanji of the Marines." Because he respects Sanji so much, Tajio noticed a key detail: Sanji only uses his legs to fight because a chef's hands are sacred and for those who say they will never run into each other. Tajio is on a battleship and most battleships go to Marine HQ so they're possible interaction with each other completely would make sense.

Inspired by this philosophy, Tajio adopts the exact same rule to protect his own culinary hands. To keep up, he develops a Marine version of kick-based martial arts—perfectly blending Sanji’s Black Leg style with Marine Rokushiki techniques like Rankyaku (Tempest Kick).

This would give Koby a crew of inspired individuals with hidden ties to Luffy’s crew, operating as a parallel mirror to the Straw Hats from inside the World Government.

What do you guys think? Who else do you think Koby could "recruit" to fill out other classic crew roles like a sniper or a navigator?
