Feeling Burnt Out

I’ve been a dietitian for 3 years. I have worked in various settings. I was previously working at a small dialysis clinic, but was cut due to downsizing (dietitian from another facility taking over my caseloads). I’m currently working in a level 3 hospital. I have a great team this go around, but I hate it. I don’t necessarily hate the job itself, I think this feeling is from deep down. I feel burnt out. I feel regretful about choosing this career.. I have a passion for health and wellness but I’ve realized it’s just a hobby? maybe not a career choice. Trying to get information from patients is like pulling teeth. It’s hard to counsel people that don’t want to change. Or are here for acute care. I have thought about going into nursing (LPN) but my support system (s) at home do not think I would like it and think I would also regret it. I however don’t think so. They love that I do nutrition and hype me and the career up as much as they can.

I guess what im asking here are tips. What to do when you feel blah about nutrition and the career? What other options do I have in nutrition that wouldn’t necessarily be talking about nutrition/counseling? Community options? Non profit? How do you get into such positions?
Do I go with nursing, even tho it’s a time and financial burden?
