Shredding one year

Hello everyone i have a problem it’s been a year since i had big shredding that got my hair pretty good and now its been a year and my hair is still the same but i was shredding a lot for 6 months then it stopped for one month and then it went on till now its not much maybe 15 or 20 hair sometimes its more and sometimes less it really depends on how much stress i had in few days. Could this be chronical telogen effluvium ? Because the hair i shredd is all kinds of from long to short but the hair on my head is still the same. What do you think ? I also have plan to wait till winter and then go to dermatologist and get on minoxidil and finasteraid but in foam version not in oral. That brings me to another question is foam version of both good and effective ? Thank you very much everyone
