Weird BV-like odor after having sex

Hey (18m), my partner (18f) recently got diagnosed with BV and I didn't know what the smell was when we had unprotected sex until after. Now, my semen smells like it after masturbating recently? She's clean of all the STDs but she just got diagnosed with that one. Am I supposed to take the same metronidazole? The smell is kinda scaring me.
