Feasibility of Handwriting Notes at Uni

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be an incoming fresher studying maths and physics in September and was wondering if people would say how feasible it would be to handwrite my notes without a tablet as I've seen a lot of people recommending to get them but frankly I'm not sure if i need one. I have a laptop which is fine, will this be enough?
