The River

Hi all sorry in advance for the rambling

I just finished Parade of Horribles and have a theory about >!the river Carl keeps hearing in his head.!< I read the books basically in one sitting so I don’t remember which book each mention of it occurs in. With all the information on Primal’s we got in the last book I’m starting to believe that >!the river Carl hears and later stands in are the souls of other primal’s and or past/dead Crawlers. With everything the A.I revealed about what the Primal’s (and Carl being one) did and why they did it, uploading the consciousnesses of the dead doesn’t sound to far fetched in my opinion. The A.I remembers its past and every one!< >!who’s!< >!stepped foot in the dungeon, I’m not sure how the ring plays in with all this but considering Carl started hearing the souls only after he used it. There also the matter of Hellik helping Carl with it after he got atomised wich just screams odd.!<
If anyone has any thoughts or theories on this please let me know I feel like I’m going insane!
