I do not like the show, but I know I should

I know I should love this show. It has everything going for it. But having grown up in an upper-middle class Midwestern household in Minnesota, these guys just make me laugh. Like watching the dog races. My grandpa would watch and rewatch this show, laugh and laugh. Point to me the "dumb Italians on the TV." I know that's awful, but it demonstrates my point perfectly. There's some very deep bias here. How to overcome this prejudice so I can enjoy the show? I have very deep respect for Italians and Italian-Americans.
