Temple Bar, Mount Bakery in downtown Bellingham could close in late August - Cascadia Daily

More sad news on the downtown eateries front:

"A fixture in downtown Bellingham may be leaving the scene, after the owner of Temple Bar and Mount Bakery announced on July 17 his intention to “lighten his load” and step away from both businesses. 

Vince Lalonde posted on social media on Friday morning that he will try to sell Temple Bar, the cozy cocktail bar at 306 W. Champion St. that opened in 2002, and will close the downtown Mount Bakery cafe (also known as Temple Brunch) next door to focus on Fairhaven Mount Bakery."
