Scheduled Downtime: 18 July 2026, 10 a.m. CEST / 8 a.m. UTC

Tomorrow, we will take the site offline at around 10 a.m. CEST / 8 a.m. UTC, in order to accommodate room for some back-end changes. We hope that the website will return after approximately 30 or 60 minutes. Functionality related to Challenge Checkers will be unavailable for an additional few hours.

Principally, this is so that we can begin using updated names for geocache types; for example, "Community Celebration Event" rather than "Lost and Found Event Cache" and "Geocaching HQ Cache" rather than "Groundspeak HQ", and so on.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
