Android 17 update breaks games

The latest android 17 update from today has made the top of my phone completely unresponsive. I can't tap any buttons or do anything at the top of my screen when a full screen game is running. I tested in every orientation and on multiple games, for example guildwars and Kotor. Anything behind where the status bar would normally be can no longer be touched. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there anyway to rollback my system update?
