sex is really painful for me

let me start this off with I AM A WOMAN!!! and i am posting this anonymously because my bf follows my main reddit account. i’m keeping ages and names hidden, but both my bf and i are over 20.

basically, sex is super painful for me. it always has been, even with toys. i don’t understand why, and the only answer i’ve gotten off of google is i have a weak or tense pelvic floor. i’ve tried exercises consistently for months and nothing works. i even insinuate sex a lot because i want those muscles to get used to it, since at the end of the day they’re muscles, and muscles can be worked out. oral and stuff is fine, but it’s internal stuff that really hurts.

i’m too scared to tell my bf, because i don’t want him to think it’s a him problem (which, he will think).

i just need to confess this because i need to tell someone. i don’t think any of the women in my life would understand, and i don’t want them to think of me as lesser because of it.
