Let me start by saying Acqua di Parma makes some beautiful fragrances. They’re all unique and special in their own way, capturing that natural Italian essence so well. I just love this house. Even if they don’t last the longest, they really do make some magical juice.

**Fico di Amalfi…**

I was slightly unimpressed when I first opened the package and sprayed it on skin. I smelled one of the Blu Mediterraneo fragrances at duty free a while back—I *think* it was this one—but my first impression was a pretty harsh citrus opening.

It almost reminded me of that soapy, airy opening some Louis Vuitton Imagination clones have. Thankfully, that doesn’t last long. It quickly drifts into a juicy, beautiful fig that instantly transports you to the Italian coast. The sun’s setting, you’ve got a drink in your hand, and life feels easy.

The whole fragrance stays incredibly clean. After sitting with it for about a week, the dry down reminds me of the lotion you’d find in an expensive European hotel.

Like a lot of Acqua di Parma fragrances, it leaves you wishing there was just a little more kick once everything settles in. But that’s also part of its charm. You have to appreciate it for what it is instead of what you wish it was.

It’s wonderful, though, and it’s grown on me a lot since that first spray. I’m going to overspray this all summer and let it tag along on every beach day and vacation I can.

Shoutout to the Italians. 🇮🇹
