In 2018, 16-year-old Kyle Plush, trapped inside the folding seat of his family’s minivan, desperately gave 911 dispatchers his location and vehicle description. Despite this, officers failed to locate the minivan, and the call was dismissed. He later died from compressive asphyxia.
